About UsHello... I am already incredibly excited for you, and for us, that you are exploring the possibility of life in our faith community. We know that there are a million reasons to put church (and in essence God) on the back burner, and often the church has made those reasons seem even more acceptable: boring services, irrelevant subjects, unfriendly atmospheres and less than family-friendly environments. I won't try to convince you that we are the perfect church because one, you wouldn't buy it and two, it's just not true. However, we just might be the perfect church for you. Our focus is on the family. With services that you enjoy coming to, programs that help grow every age group and issues that matter to you... in your world... today, we are seeing God make a real difference in real people's lives. Westbrook Baptist Church began August 23 1970, born as a mission church of 1st Southern Baptist Church, in Hutchinson. Originally the congregation met in an old farm house holding their worship services in a large screened in porch. Eventually, that house sold and was moved out into the country, and the 2005 North Hendricks facilities were constructed. The first phase of construction was the education building and gymnasium which was the worship center for many years . Later as the church grew the auditorium we use today and office space were added. In recent years Westbrook has seen tremendous growth, from about 130 to 450 plus each weekend over the past 3 years. Westbrook offers worship services with a blend of traditional & the contemporary. The style of VENUE 302 is completely contemporary. As a believing community Westbrook is conservative in its theology. Please click here for a more detailed view of what our church's beliefs. We are a family focused church believing that we are called to fulfill the great commandment and the great commission: Mark 12:30 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.' 31...'Love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no commandment greater than these." Matthew 28:18 Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." Whatever it takes! That's the heart cry of Westbrook. With open arms to all who may come to explore the possibility of a life of faith in Jesus, Westbrook will do whatever it can to make that road accessible. I have become all things to all men so that by all possible means I might save some. 23I do all this for the sake of the gospel, that I may share in its blessings.
