Youth

The student ministry of WBC is for all Middle & High School students. Sunday School, camps, retreats, concerts and many other activities are the earmark of almost any church youth group, but at Westbrook fun comes with a purpose: to lead students deeper and deeper into a relationship with Christ.

The current youth programs consist of the following:

-Youth Alive on Sunday nights from 6:30-8:30.  The main goal of Alive is to provide a wholesome, and fun environment for the youth of the church to bring there friends to, so as to provide a platform for growth.  At Alive we eat snacks, play games, and have a lesson with praise and worship time with the youth praise band.

-Wednesday nights is the small group night for the youth currently we have the boys meeting at the Hubbell’s house and the girls are meeting at the Garcias house.  The purpose of small groups is to provide a more intimate environment in which the youth feel comfortable to delve into the deeper and more relevant areas of discussion.  Right now the girl leaders are Mandy Holmes, Lydia Swanson, Joley Maley, as well as several college helpers Tatyana, Hanna, and Jessie.  The guy study leaders are Rob Hubbell, Bill Wise, Josh Holmes, Nick Egli, and Steve Mitchell.

-Sunday Mornings of course is Sunday school at 9:45.  We begin with an opening skit or verbal presentation of some sort we then split into groups by grade 7th-8th grade, 9th-10th, and 11th-12th.  We get done at 10:45.  The goal of Sunday school this year is to convey the importance of church community, and how as youth we are expected to be the church.

Youth Pastor Josh Holmes is the personal guide for these students as they learn and grow in their faith.
